The All New iPhone

All keen followers of the latest gadgets will know that iPhone 3G has landed. I picked mine up on launch day and was surprised I even managed to get my hands on one so early. The inbuilt 3G chip has made surfing the web a lot easier and allows you to get speeds similar to that of your home broadband. The phone feels classy to hold and now includes GPS, which works really well with google maps, and location based applications.

The release of version 2.0 of the software also introduces web applications, which you can purchase from itunes. Applications such as "Trip Advisor" allow you to search places to eat within the vicinity of your GPS and even provide reviews.

I could go on and on, however, there are many reviews already out there.  Those who want one to be different and stand out from the crowd, go get yourself a gold plated version or diamond incrusted model. The iPhone 3G is a common phone and selling 1m worldwide in one weekend, shows you how big this phone is going to be.

Apple has been rapped by authorities after it was ruled that an ad for the original iPhone breached regulations.

Apple told to stop using new advert

A TV ad showed a user scrolling through various web pages before a voiceover said: "You never know which part of the internet you'll need...Which is why all the parts of the internet are on the iPhone."

However, two viewers said the claim was misleading because the iPhone does not support Flash or Java applications, both integral to many web pages, meaning some site sections or whole sites could therefore not be accessed.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) agreed, ruling that the advert gave a "misleading impression" of the iPhone's internet capability.

It has told Apple the advert must not be broadcast again in its current form.
